Let's take a look at Uzbekistan, one of the five Central Asian countries

The full name of Uzbekistan is the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is located in the middle of Central Asia and covers an area of 447,000 square kilometers. It is about the same size as Heilongjiang Province in my country. Administratively, it is divided into 12 states, 1 municipality, and 1 autonomous republic.

Uzbekistan is one of the eight countries in the world with "Stan" in their names. "Stan" is derived from the Persian place name suffix -stān, which means "homeland" or "place to stand", and is cognate with state (country). "Uzbek" means "ruling oneself" and "being one's own master" in Uzbek, that is, "independence". Uzbekistan is known as the "country of platinum". The platinum in quotation marks here is not the real precious metal platinum, but white cotton. Cotton production in Uzbekistan ranks sixth in the world and is one of the "four golds" of the pillar industries of the national economy. The "four golds" are gold, "platinum" (cotton), "black gold" (oil), and "blue gold" (natural gas). Gold reserves rank fourth in the world, mining volume ranks seventh, and natural gas extraction volume ranks eleventh in the world. bit. Uzbekistan is the country with the richest tourism resources among the five Central Asian countries. It is a pearl on the Silk Road. Its unique geographical location has created the country’s diverse ethnic culture and fusion of Eastern and Western cuisines. There are many world cultural heritages in China, such as important post stations on the Silk Road and Persia, monuments left by the powerful kingdoms in Islamic history, medieval mosques, ancient city ruins, etc. When you come to Uzbekistan, you must go to three places: Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand. This is a display of exotic culture and customs, and it is also a witness to many histories and a gathering place of ancient architectural relics. From January 1, 2020, Uzbekistan will implement a short-term visa-free policy for Chinese tourists from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Chinese tourists can stay in Uzbekistan without a visa for more than 7 days. China continues to remain Uzbekistan's largest trading partner, with a bilateral trade volume of approximately US$6.79 billion, a year-on-year increase of 26.2%, accounting for 18.8% of Uzbekistan's foreign trade. Among them, China's exports to Uzbekistan were about 4.77 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 32.9%, accounting for 21.7% of Uganda's imports; imports from Uzbekistan were 2.02 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 12.8%, accounting for 14.4% of Uganda's exports. China is Uzbekistan's largest source of imports and its second largest export destination (after Russia). Machinery and equipment is China's largest export commodity to Uzbekistan, followed by chemicals, department stores, building materials and other products.
