C.F.S.: Container Freight Station.

CY: the abbreviation of Container Yard, that is, the place where the goods are stored. Before exporting the goods, the shippers must empty the containers at CY, load them at the factory, and send them back to CY. After customs inspection, CY will be transported to the dock and hoisted onto the ship.The same is true for imports, using CY as an intermediate station.The freight alliance of north American airlines USES CY as a synonym for freight regulations.

DDC: Destination Delivery Charge.

Demurrage: overdue charge for goods. If the consignee fails to pick up the goods within the time specified by the shipper, such additional charge will be incurred.(floor)

If the consignor or consignee fails to return the empty container to the consignor within the time specified by the consignor, this additional charge shall be paid.(otc)

Devanning: unpacking.The movement of unloading goods from a container.

DG: Dangerous Goods.

Delivery Order or bill of lading issued by shipowner or forwarder.

Dock Receipt: a Receipt that shows that the goods have been sent to the Dock designated by the shipper and the container is taken to the Dock.

Door-to-Door: Door-to-Door mode of transport, that is, the goods into the container, from the owner to the consignee are in the same container.

Dunnage: wood or other material used to hold cargo in a container.

Form A: Form A.A certificate of origin under the general system of preferences (GSP) issued by the relevant government department of the beneficiary/exporting country to enjoy preferential tariffs and quotas for the beneficiary/importing country.The mainland and the United States use Form A under the GSP, issued by the council for the promotion of international trade or the entry-exit inspection and quarantine authority.

Freight Forwarder: can be referred to as (comprehensive Forwarder). Most international comprehensive forwarders are organized by companies. The service provided is to receive LCL receipts, assemble them into whole container and deliver them to the destination by the shipping company.An international carrier may issue a bill of lading covering parts of sea, land and even air transport, but usually does not own the means of transport itself.

Full set of B/Ls: Full set of B/Ls.Three originals and three copies.The letter of credit is expressed as 3/3.

GSP: Generalized System of Preferences.It is a general, non-discriminatory and non-reciprocal system of tariff preference granted by developed countries to developing countries for export of manufactured and semi-manufactured goods (including some primary products).

Bill of Lading: the Bill of Lading.

The us customs collects 0.125% of the cargo value for port construction and Maintenance.By sea only.(it will be covered under DDP clause)

L/C:Letter of Credit.

L/B:Land Bridge.

LBS: Pounds Pounds

LCL: Less than Container Load.

MLB: mini-land Bridge.

M/N: Marks and Numbers.Flags and codes.

Cubic Meters

MPF: Merchandise Processing Fee a Fee levied by us customs, 0.3464% of the invoice value of goods, with a minimum charge of $25 and an upper limit of $480 (covered under DDP)

N/p: Notify Party.

NVOCC: Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier.

B: the Ocean Bill of Lading.

O/F: Ocean Freight(charges).

 

This kind of Container is made of canvas as the Top of the Container. The Top of the Container can be lifted during loading and loaded from the Top, suitable for large and heavy cargo.

-rufus: Packing List.An important document describing the stowage of goods in a container, including the number of pieces, weight, size, head of wheat, type of goods, etc., so as to facilitate customs inspection and consignee's acceptance of the goods.The amount of goods is not marked.

POD: Port of Discharge, also proof of Delivery.

POL:Port of Loading.

Prepaid Charges are Prepaid Charges.

Prepaid: shipping conditions of Prepaid freight.

 

Relay: to Relay goods from one ship to another ship of the same company.

Roll-on/ roll-off (RO/RO): a specially designed and manufactured cabin.Container trailers, trucks, and stacks can all be loaded directly from the dock onto a ship, so called.

The way the goods are transported is the Route.

SL&C: Shipper Load and Count.

STC:Said to Contain.

THC: Terminal Handling Charge.

TEU: Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit

W/M: Weight or Measure;Whichever is the largest, shall provide the best service.

Reefer: refrigerated Container.
